Ridgeway Productions

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Ridgeway Productions collects through this website, why it is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have over it. It is written in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679).

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

Ridgeway Productions — Ciprian Turutea
Val di Fiemme, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy
VAT / P.IVA 04494940275
Email: hello@ridgewayproductions.com
Phone: +39 348 2450286

For any question about this policy or about how your data is handled, write to the email address above.

2. What data is collected

Data you provide through the contact form

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Company or production name
  • Project type
  • Shoot dates
  • Any information you choose to include in your message

Data collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages visited, time of visit and referring page

This information is recorded in standard server logs and, where you have consented, through analytics cookies. It is used to keep the site secure and to understand how it is used, not to identify individual visitors.

Data collected if you contact me directly

If you write by email, phone or WhatsApp, the contents of that correspondence and your contact details are retained for the purpose of answering you and, if a project follows, of carrying it out.

3. Why it is used, and on what legal basis

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To deliver production services once a project is agreed — legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal basis: legal obligation under Italian law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To keep the website secure and prevent abuse — legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Analytics and non-essential cookies — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling, and is not sold or rented to anyone.

4. Who else may see your data

Your data may be handled by the following categories of service provider, acting as data processors on documented instructions:

  • The web hosting provider on which this site runs
  • The email provider used to receive and answer messages
  • Analytics providers, only where you have given consent
  • An accountant and, where required, the Italian tax authorities

Where a project requires it — for example to obtain filming permits, arrange accommodation, or book local crew and vendors — the minimum necessary details may be shared with the relevant authority or supplier. You will always know when this is the case.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

5. How long it is kept

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client and project records: for the duration of the working relationship and for 10 years afterwards, as required by Italian accounting and tax law.
  • Server logs: normally no more than 12 months.
  • Cookies: for the period stated in the cookie banner, or until you withdraw consent.

6. Cookies

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, and — only with your consent — cookies that help measure how the site is used. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse the non-essential ones. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the same banner.

Refusing non-essential cookies does not restrict your use of the site in any way.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what data is held about you and receive a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted, where there is no legal obligation to keep it
  • ask that processing be restricted
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand

To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@ridgewayproductions.com. You will receive an answer within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.

8. Security

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the data collected through it is limited to Ridgeway Productions and to the service providers listed above. No system is completely secure, but reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your information.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the way data is collected or used changes. The date at the top of the page always reflects the latest version.
